Create one file per event. 2. Fill in your name, location (city, town, etc.), latitude, and longitude. I found a site that provides a lookup from address data at http://geocode.com/eagle.html but is restricted to US addresses and is designed for evaluation of their software. Other links welcomed. 3. At each observation, note date/UTC time, your observation, and comments about weather conditions, especially if they impact your ability to observe. Other relevant comments may go here as well. Notes: Enter the date in YYYY-MM-DD format (Gregorian calendar). Enter one line per data item. Each line should have the time followed by the observation. Use the symbols (, |, and ) to represent the shape of the terminator. For example, in the northern hemisphere, a waxing first quarter would proceed from ) to | to (. 4. Delete the instructions section (they will remain on qreadme.txt) 5. Name your file, and upload it using http://the-light.com/cal/cgi/upload.html. The naming convention shall be: q###iii.txt, where q is simply an initial letter to group our files together, ### is the quarter number (please pad with zeroes), III is the initials of a participant. Please use all lower case. The quarter numbers are as follows (note that dates are purposely only approximate). First Quarters Last Quarters 001 2002-08-30 002 2002-09-14 003 2002-09-28 004 2002-10-13 005 2002-10-28 006 2002-11-12 007 2002-11-26 008 2002-12-11 009 2002-12-26 010 2003-01-10 011 2003-01-24 012 2003-02-08 013 2003-02-23 014 2003-03-10 015 2003-03-24 etc. 6.
