Hi,

Getting back to the subject of longhairs in the movies, Canadian actor Michael Wincott had wonderful long hair (wig or otherwise) which he gracefully flaunted as young Spanish nobleman -- Don Adrian de Moxica in the controvertial film, 1492 The Conquest of Paradise which was released in 1992 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus' "discovery" of the so-called "New World."

In fact, there were two longhairs among the key figures, de Moxica and Columbus, played by Gerard Depardieu but de Moxica who had the longer hair was the bad guy -- racist, insensitive and brutal, while Columbus was the good guy who was sensitive to the native people's and treated them with friendship, deference and understanding.

In the end, de Moxica leads a rebel faction against Columbus and is defeated and leaps to his death from a cliff.

So, the message of the story still is, "shorter hair good, longer hair bad," what a pity.

However, Wincott appears as the main character in The Crow and looking so much like de Moxica. Well I haven't seen The Crow so I can't comment. Crow URL here http://members.tripod.com/a_west/wincott/topdollar.html
